"Brother!" Loki's half panicked voice caused Thor to turn around, a smile and a greeting on his lips. He grunted instead when the younger Asgaridan barreled into him. Long arms wound their way around his shoulders and a head of black hair burrowed into his throat. Thor blinked at this and patted his liesmith of a sibling on the back while raising an eyebrow. Ever since Loki had been banished mostly powerless to Earth he'd become much more open with his affection.
It was as if without the pressure of Asgard hanging over their shoulder's Loki allowed himself a great deal more freedom. He was studying magic with Doctor Strange and recently he'd taken up art with the Captain. It was nice to see his brother so happy again. Unfortunately Loki had not deigned to give up his trickster ways. "Loki?" Thor asked tentatively. "What ails you brother?"
It was unusual to see Loki cowering in such a manner. The younger god peeled his head back enough to look into his brother's eyes. The flash of panic he saw there worried him and immediately his time honed instinct to soothe his younger brother's worries reared its head. He wrapped an arm around the black haired god's shoulder's as his eyes hardened. "Why do you run? Who has frightened you?"
Loki gave him a half smile that wavered at the edges and opened his mouth but snapped it shut when a loud roar pierced the quiet of the room. The trickster god paled and darted under Thor's cape. "Wha-" Thor looked over his shoulder at the lump in his cape that was Loki, "brother what are you-" It was at that moment that Hulk burst into the room leaving a large hole in the wall. His normally black as night shock of hair was as green as the rest of him.
With a sinking heart Thor suddenly understood far too well why his brother was frightened. Steeling himself he gripped handle of Mjolnir. "We will be having words about this later brother." For now, he had to make sure Banner didn't destroy his brother. The Hulk let out another roar as he charged and Thor braced himself. Perhaps he should consider calling the Man of Iron.
